A Conference is a group of men and women, known as Vincentians, who work as a team to provide concrete aid and comfort to their neighbors in need. They are the strength and heart of the Society of St. Vincent de Paul. While typically organized through Catholic parishes, Conferences may also form around schools, professions, cultural interests, or ministries to prisons, nursing homes, homeless shelters, etc. A Conference may form anywhere a group of people is willing to come together to serve their neighbors in need.
Vincentians are the face of our organization. They are concerned neighbors, fellow parishioners, and students looking to actively change the lives of those around them. They put others before themselves and they grow together in Christ.
In addition to their acts of charity, Conferences hold meetings to support one another. They meet to foster a spirit of friendship, unity, and spirituality so that they may better serve those in need.
