It's not only our Coraopolis store that's getting dead-end donations, our bins across the region are also getting bags of goods from well-intentioned donors that cannot be handled at this time. Please stay home. Please stay safe. Please help us get back in business once the time is right to do so. Thank you for your support. #thriftstore #stvincentdepaul ... See MoreSee Less

People please stop doing this. You may have had good intentions but this is all trash now which will cost them money to dispose of. Hold onto your stuff until they are open again.

People are shit. I work for Goodwill. It’s a junk drop off for people with attitude like they’re doing something so wonderful. They think shoppers are destitute.

We found a gallon of milk frozen veggies and butter sitting outside our pantry door the other day. Good intentions bad timing. We had no idea how long it was there. Please everyone just hold off be safe and keep well.

Some thrift stores ARE still taking donations. This needs to get a combined effort from all of them otherwise people will keep doing this.

Thanks for sharing.

It just rained! All of that donated stuff is now trash! ūüė©

As valuable as your clothing and household goods donations are, we need to ask you to refrain from dropping them off at our stores and drop-off bins. For safety reasons and to follow the Governor's orders we are currently not processing in-kind donations. Please keep your donations until the current crisis is over and we will gladly once again accept your valuable goods for the benefit of our vulnerable population. Thank you for your patient support. May God bless us all! #thriftstore #stvincentdepaul ... See MoreSee Less

people are using these places as a dumping ground. anyone dumping stuff seeing these piles should be ashamed.

How about keep it at your home until it is safe to go out again - it was in your home to begin with...

Someone should make the rounds & clean out those boxes.

God is not shaken by this pandemic. He will use it for the good of His purpose and He has you in the palm of His hand. What may be meant for evil, God will use for good.

The Society of St. Vincent de Paul
Response to COVID-19

We are accustomed to working with vulnerable populations. Like other businesses and organizations, our local volunteer groups have adopted protocols for preventing the spread of coronavirus, including the minimization of personal contact.

We are grateful for your understanding, care, and partnership as we adapt and as Vincentians continue to respond to community needs. Thank you for continuing the support of our mission to feed, clothe, house, and heal friends in need across southwestern Pennsylvania.

St. Vincent de Paul is a trusted nonprofit organization that already serves the most likely to be hurt by the economic devastation of the Coronavirus Crisis. Everyone is inconvenienced, but those already in need face devastation. You can be there for them. Your support will change lives.

Together, and with faith, we will get through this.

In addition to being unable to service our stores, we cannot pick up donations from our donation bins. Please keep your donations at their current location until we're able to re-open. Then, we will gladly accept all of your goods for use at our stores and to help neighbors in southwestern PA. Thank you so much for your support! Together we will defeat our viral enemy! #thriftstore #stvincentdepaul ... See MoreSee Less

We would like to remind everybody again of the need to refrain from dropping off donations at our locations. In an attempt to preserve the safety of our staff, volunteers, shoppers, donors, and the general public, we shut down all of our physical business operations until further notice. Instead, we ask that you keep all in-kind donations until we're back in operation. Also, we ask that you consider two other options: 1) Make a monetary donation at donatepittsburgh.org and 2) to volunteer your time and labor, call 412-343-4455 to register for when we're ready to ramp up again. Thank you and may God bless us all during these trying times! #thriftstore #stvincentdepaul ... See MoreSee Less
